It all started when…

I was quite young. Since an early age my fascination with beautiful flowers in the garden and nature in general was ever present. The programs about wildlife by Bernhard Grzimek, Jacques Cousteau or Heinz Sielmann who explained Nature in the most amazing pictures I had ever seen before captivated me. I wanted to do something like these people - taking beautiful pictures like them!

The garden was another place in which I got always very excited about the small things, like growing my first red radishes and huge sunflowers on my little plot in my parents garden.

When I was given my first camera I got obsessed to try and record my excitement I felt when I observed the beauty of the flowers in our garden.

About 28 years ago I moved from Germany to Ireland and I now live in County Donegal. The passion for photography had started early in my life and has moved with me. I am married and my husband gives me great support in my pursuit for new challenges for my camera. My inspiration by Nature is always a great source for new ideas for my work, as is the Garden, Art and Colour. This helps me to develop new projects.

I hope that you will enjoy viewing my photographs as much as I enjoyed creating them.
